Compute, not algorithms or talent, decides who can compete at the frontier.
The 10x decline every year is actually telling you something is actually telling you something different. It's saying that the race is so intense. Everybody's trying to get to so intense. Everybody's trying to get to the next level and somebody is getting the next level and somebody is getting to the next level. And so, therefore to the next level. And so, therefore all of it is a computing problem. The all of it is a computing problem. The faster you compute, the sooner you can faster you compute, the sooner you can get to the next level of the next get to the next level of the next frontier.

And here, in the case of And here, in the case of um um uh Rubin, notice the throughput is so much higher and therefore, it only takes 1/4 as many of these systems these systems in order to train the model in the time that we gave it here, which is 1 month. that we gave it here, which is 1 month. Okay? And so Okay? And so time time is the same for everybody. Now, how much how fast you can train Now, how much how fast you can train that model and how large a model you can train is how you're going to get to the train is how you're going to get to the frontier first.

The amount of computation for pre pre-training, for computation for pre pre-training, for post-training, for test time scaling has exploded as a result of that. And now exploded as a result of that. And now every single inference that we do, every single inference that we do, instead of just one shot, the number of tokens you could just see the AIs think, tokens you could just see the AIs think, which we appreciate. The longer it which we appreciate. The longer it thinks, often times it produces a better answer. And so, test time scaling causes answer.

Open models keep AI continually available, rather than dependent on any one provider's decisions.
Now, we have openings open model systems all over the world of all different all over the world of all different kinds, and we now know that open models have also reached the frontier. Still have also reached the frontier. Still solidly is 6 months behind solidly is 6 months behind the frontier models, the frontier models, but every single 6 months a new model is emerging, and these models are getting emerging, and these models are getting smarter and smarter. smarter and smarter. Because of that, Because of that, you could see the number of downloads has exploded. has exploded.

AI that in the case of physical AI, you have AI that interacts with the physical world, that interacts with the physical world, and you have AI physics, AI that and you have AI physics, AI that understands the laws of physics. And then, lastly, one of the most important things that happened last year, things that happened last year, the advancement of open models. the advancement of open models.
